One Day You're In...And The Next, You're Out

As you may have guessed, I am just a tad bit obsessed with Project Runway! To celebrate the new season, check out this recent interview with Tim Gunn for Time Magazine's "10 Questions". In it, he reveals his Top 10 Wardrobe basics - and I'm pleased to see that they are a variation of sorts of my own list! The proof:

[M]y 10-essentials list for getting your wardrobe right [are] the blazer, the classic white shirt, a skirt, a day dress, a basic black dress, black pants, jeans, a sweater of some kind and a trench coat—you can wear it to the grocery store or the opera. The last one is a sweat-suit alternative—something that you feel good in and look good in and that you can go out and walk the dog in.

Also, Fashion Week Daily elicited some advice for the new designers from previous contestants. I love what Season 4 finalist Chris March had to say:

Take it one day at a time and stay on your toes! Take risks with your designs--it's the only way to differentiate yourself in the eyes of the judges. And, make stuff that is so fabulous that they gag.
Uh, interesting design philosophy!
Anyways, I can't wait to go home and watch the first episode!
